I do think, however, that artists, as the creators and custodians of cultural memory, must be vigilant in monitoring the current mix of Utopianism and desperation that characterizes the perception of digital practices, and that it's part of our job no matter what media we prefer to use, to look at the phenomenon of a world going, in some respects, mad.
